I need to erase an EEPROM but control program software 'Erase Icon' is greyed out. Why is this?
Many thanks.

Re: Erase Ion Greyed Out
Hello simondo,
What is the part name of the EEPROM device you are working with?
In general, EEPROM devices are electrically erasable, which means they are automatically erased when you program them, which is why the erase button is greyed out (it is not necessary).
You can effectively erase this device by filling the buffer with FFh using the erase buffer button and then programming this blank state into the device.
Hope this make sense.
Best regards,
