hi
I am attempting to connect to a NEC70F3379 , it is listed in the Dataman library....
I have included a picture of the connections i require , but the connections in the Dataman library are really complicated and i am struggling to match up some of the the Datamans connections with the target chip. so here we go.
so i have attached two pictures one which shows the target Chip ( connections i need), the NEC703379 , and the connection diagram from the Dataman (data man adjustment) which is rather complicated to make sense of. , i have decipher the ones i can match up the connections , but there are afew that don't seem to make any sense to the manufactures connecting pins , so i just needed clarification on it. i have tried afew different ways to read the target chip but it doesn't respond.
any help would be great
thanks in advance

UPDATE
I have attempted to connect with another programmer. and it reads the chip and brings back data... so i am confident that my soldering skills are ok. and the soldering locations i have are fine.

UPDATE 2:
I have done further checking and the Dataman programmer periodically comes up with a variety of errors from lack of voltage & or to much voltage. and then it follows saying a message about please contact manufacturer , I have tested the ISP & the ZIF socket with the test tools & it comes back as ok.
I had a thought is the ISP connection pin arrangement is it for the wire attached or is that for the front only. i thought id ask the unlikely. at the moment anything seems a plausible question.
thanks

UPDATE 3
I have another job which requires me to take a image dump of another NEC chip. which is a NEC 70F3632 , i figured i would give that ago while i was there. i have the connection diagram and attempted to connect via ISP , as removal is not possible.
and the errors are much the programmer comes up with a variety of errors , i try on another programmer and no errors at all. , very strange

Hello tomanycars,
Apologies, in the software there is the option "Create problem report" under the "Help" menu. Please generate a problem report and choose the option on the right. Please email the problem report to support@dataman.com for analysis.
