I have a motherboard BIOS chip, that need to be upgraded. However, I´m not able to flash the new data to the chip. I get an error message, with different values in ROM and RAM. I had a similar BIOS problem with a W29EE011 chip, but it programs ok. However, the motherboard does not accept that chip for some reason.

Hi,
It sounds as though the chip you are trying to program is not blank or is damaged. Try doing an erase on the device using FUNC > BURN.
If you still experience problems please contact us.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer. However, it does not work to erase the chip that way. I get an error message. So it looks like the chip is fried.
