Programming 16f876 on s4

Postby Guest » 14 Nov 2011 12:36

Hi,

I'm having a spot of bother programming a pic 16f876 in an s4. After a burn it is reading full of zeros. A pretest reports code protect on. You get the same result if there is no device in the socket!

I've checked the signals on the PIC-16 adaptor and the 28 pin socket has nothing appearing on vpp, but strangly the 40 pin vpp goes to +11v?

I can programming a 16f877 with no problems and 18 pin parts. This is the first time I've used the 28 pin socket on the adapter. Am I missing something obvious?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Dear Sir,

Please ensure that you are using the latest PIC library (2.33) available free from our Website and also if this device is a 28 pin Sdip package then it must be placed in the top of the 40 pin socket and not the 28 pin socket, please refer to the instruction pages that came with the PIC module.

Best regards,

Neil
