I would like to know if it is possible to read (and perhaps write) the data from a 6264 that is powered by a backup battery with the Dataman S4. I have some older test equipment that uses 6264's to hold calibration and setup data. Since the manufactuer of the test equipment no longer supports this obsolete product I would like to have a way to backup and restore the data in case there is a problem with the lithium backup battery.
Thanks

Re: Reading data from system powered 6264's
Hi Sam,
The 6264 device you have is not supported on S4. Have you considered using a Dallas NV RAM (non volatile RAM), type number DS1225AB or AD or Y ?
This is 6264 equivalent with battery and NV circuitry included.
I believe also it can be easily read and written on S4.
Alternatively there are NV RAM form ST (SGS Thomson).
Hope this helps.
