Guys,
No it does not work, it only works for one emulation then you have to re-boot the pc for the second one, i understand that Dataman are writing drivers for this.

Im not sure the drivers for this will ever be written as dataman have scooted round this issue for a while now and will not give a direct answer, forces me to buy a new pc, thanks.

I can connect to the S4 using a Targus USB converter and Windows XP. It works fine with our own homebrew programming s/w, but the S4 Windows app does not recognise the Com port at all (Com1)
Error message "Cannot connect to specified port - COM1"
Plenty of other apps work out of this port!
I suspect that the S4 app uses an old com port API call which is no longer supported in Windows or messes directly with the registry.
Is Dataman going to issue a patch or newer "s4drv32"?

Please download the latest S4 driver software from our website, it has been rewritten in C++ to work with Windows XP and 2000.
I hope this solves your problem.

Thanks Neil,
My USB - S4 setup is working well now.
A little observation on the new "driver". If you fill the main window up (easily done while looking for a Prom type) - no further commands work or display. You can't drag the scroll bar back up and the only way out is to shut down the driver and start again.
