Can you tell me how to save the information from an eprom to a file on my hard drive and burn an eprom with this saved file at a later time. I just purchased an S4 , I have hooked up the serial comm line and have established communication with the S4. I have transfered files to the screen of the terminal program but I can see no way to save the informaion to a file on my hard drive.

The process is fairly simple, you hook up the S4 make sure it is communicating ok. Depending on the version of the terminal software that you are running things will differ slightly from here. If you have the blue screen terminal then you will need to go to the Transfer menu and select S4 > PC. This will open a save dialogue box where you can specify the name you want for the file and where it is going to be saved. When you hit save the terminal will prompt you for the address range you wish to transfer from the S4 to the PC, enter this value and hit enter, your data will be saved to the file you specified.
The newer white screen terminal software is fairly similar and does not need further explanation.

Hi,

Try the following:

Connect the S4 up to the PC and check that communication is occurring. Then from the menu select Transfer > Receive File(S4>PC) You should be presented with an address range on the terminal screen. Set the address range that which you wish to transfer using the PC keyboard and hit enter. Once the transfer has completed you should see a save window.
