I have had to press the reset button on my S4 due to a flat battery and now the device requires a new library file to be loaded. I have followed the user manual instructions, however I don't have the required library ROM in order to load a new library. What should I do? I am new to the S4 and would also like to clarify my assumptions on the library files area.
I am presuming that the S4 library (ROM) file holds the operational settings for the device itself and that downloading a chip library for a specific PROM is a sperate area completely. Is this correct as I am somewhat confused about this area?

Hello Paul

The various library files/proms for the S4 contain the programming algorithms for the devices that they cover. The S4 void of any library such as after a rest is able to read and program a 27C256 device. The libraries can be downloaded from our website (Resources > S4 > Downloads) and burnt onto a PROM then loaded into the S4 using (LIB > ENTER) or sent directly to the S4 from the PC via the serial cable. Details of the procedure can be found (Resources > S4 > Support) 10th item down the list.
If you look at the device support list on the library download page you can search for your device and see which library heading it falls under.
