Hi All, I have just attempted to program a 27C64 on my S4 and I have failed miserably
I have only one line to edit in hex and send it to the prom i.e. OC 00 09 00 02 0C 03 00 in address 00. I can edit the file, send it back and forth to the pc etc but when I try and blow the prom it comes up with an error
"error 0C in ram FF in rom at 00 (well of coarse they are different as the prom is blank!!!!)
Can someone help a complete idiot out please?
Cheers Dave

Re: S4 idiot!
Hello Dave,
Are you erasing the PROM using a UV light eraser before attempting to write the modified data back to it?
If you have erased the device then the TEST command should return "BLANK ROM" if the device is not fully blank then you will see "WILL BURN".
If you are still having problems please provide a step by step description of the actions you are taking and I will try to help.

Re: S4 idiot!
Hello Dave,
Can you FILL the whole S4 RAM with FFh and then READ the contents of the blank device into the S4 RAM.
Then load your file into the S4 RAM and try programming the device again.
S4 RAM address range for FILL command
128Kb 00000,1FFFF
512Kb 00000,7FFFF
Please let me know how you get on.
Best regards,
