National GAL16V4

I have tried to read an National GAL16V4 but i get a error.
Manufacturer / device ID check error!
ID manuf. = 8Fh, ID device = 2Fh
Does it means that theGAL is not function?

Hello Peter,

I need a bit more information about this situation, can I ask you to recreate the error message you describe and then generate a problem report using the Help > Create problem report feature in the software. This will dump all of the information for the activity log window into a ZIP file on your desktop. Please email it to sales@dataman.com for analysis after which I will be able to say more.

Could be that the GAL is read/security protected as thats what i get when they are security protected by the creator. If thats the case then you dont had any chance to read it unfortunately
