Hi,
I recently found a piece of equipment that I traced back to this company, and it's part of the s6 model
https://www.dataman.com/dataman-s6-comp ... ammer.html
Can someone explain to a layman like me just what exactly a universal usb programmer does? I'm over my head. Thanks!
Can someone explain this product to me?

Hello Larry,
The Dataman S6 is a memory and logic device programmer. It allows you take some code or data that you have created and program it into a memory or logic device (microcontroller) before being soldered onto a PCB for example. We offer package adaptors that allow almost any kind of package these memory and logic device come in to be connected to the programmer.
If you have any further questions about our products then please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
