Is it possible to set/unset sector protection on an AMD 29F040 using an S4
I can't see a way of doing it using PC driver software....but that might just be me !!
I need to set protection on one sector only

It is unfortunate but S4 cannot lock/unlock that device as it cannot supply Vpp on the CEn pin. Programming and erasing the device however is possible.
If you are looking for a complete programming solution for this device I would recommend the Dataman MEMPro which is priced at £295. The MEMPro is specialised in supporting memory devices up to 40pins and covers everything the S4 does plus a lot more, and its quicker.
