I have a DataMan 848 with USB connection. I do not have the ability to program the above mntioned chip. Is there a library I can download. I see that this chip is on the DataMan list.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

Hello Gregory,
The Atmel AT25256A device is supported in the latest software version (v5.70) for the 848XP.
This latest software can be downloaded from our support pages here.
Hope this helps.

Re: Atmel AT25256A
Thanks Neil,
I have downloaded the newer revision. It now appears that my dataman 848 needs an adapter, GDP-DIP-001, is this correct? If so I will order it.
One more question. I am wanting to program some PLD's on this same DataMan 848. These are Atmel ATF16V8BQL-15SC. Is this possible on this 848?
Thanks again,
Greg

Re: Atmel AT25256A
Hello Gregory,
The Dataman 848 does not offer support for the ATF16V8BQ devices as they have very short programming times, more time would be spent loading and unloading the devices than actually programming them.
The AT25256A device requires the GDP-DIP-001 adaptor. Details can be found on our website, simply paste the part number in to the search bat at the top of the page.
Can I ask what your general requirements are for programming, as I may be able to recommend a better solution for you.
Regards,
Neil
