How long does the "lifetime" software update last according to Dataman / Elnec?

One of my programmers is still alive, well preserved, and in perfect shape, I am alive too, the manufacturer is well active but many of us are sadly looking at the "lifetime" deceptive ad pictured on its box knowing that its support was intentionally cancelled this year, like for many previous models in the past, not because of some tech difficulties, but because Elnec decided this way they would raise their profit. Which on my opinion is highly doubtful. Thanks they silently released this August an updated version 3.76+ supporting this model despite that action was motivated by their desire to sell expensive intentionally locked by ID chips adapters to no longer supported programmers. Still better than nothing. Hope another update will be released in the future too. Who knows...Does anybody know of some internet place/forums where these models of abandoned by Elnec/Dataman programmers are supported by enthusiasts?
