Autodetect on S4

Hi, recently got a S4 due to recomedation by someone I know, in the instructions it tells you, that you have to tell the s4 what eprom you are using, how do I tell ? I have a prom from a company tht I wanted to read into the computer to see how it all works, however there are no marking on this prom just a little screen on top, any ideas? can the S4 autodetect the prom? all help greatfully recived

Hi,

The S4 will auto detect some eproms, to do this simply insert your eprom into the bottom of the zif socket of your S4, then press FUNC and then PROM. This will in most cases auto detect the chip for you. To manually select the chip, you simply press PROM and then use the arrow keys on S4 to scroll through the list of the manufacturers and devices stored in the S4's library.
