S4 dead after battery change

Postby Guest » 14 Nov 2011 11:48

Is it possible to kill an S4 by mixing up the battery and sounder plugs. Ours seems to be dead and the guy who fitted the battery thinks he may have got it wrong. If this is the case I would suggest a change of connector to prevent a repeat performance.

Hi,

I have never known this to damage an S4. However if you unit is not functioning you can return it to us for repair which carries a flat rate charge of £95 + return carriage + VAT.

Thanks guys. The new battery was so low that I had to do the 'reset for 30 seconds' trick. Thanks Anonymous it did lose the data so I have upgraded the library. I still cannot understand why the CPU and one of the '274 chips were getting rather warm but at least it works now.

Best wishes to all for 2003.
