Will the S6 do the PIC17Cxx devices in the future? they are not currently on the list.

Hello bilko2,

Thank you for your interest in the Dataman-S6 Compact USB Programmer.

I have checked with our engineering department and they have informed me that support for the PIC17Cxx family is currently under way and we expect the support to be available by the end of June 2013.

I will post a message here once the updated software is up on our site.

Support for the following Microchip PIC17Cxxx devices is now availiable on the Dataman-S6:

PIC17C42 (PDIP40)
PIC17C42A (PDIP40)
PIC17C43 (PDIP40)
PIC17C44 (PDIP40)
PIC17CR42 (PDIP40)
PIC17CR43 (PDIP40)

The latest software database which contains this support can be downloaded from our website here.
