HI There,
Can i program an AT24C02 device with the Dataman S4 a see in the compatibility list 24C02 listed under ATMEL serial devices, but i am unsure if this is the same device??

The S4 does indeed support the Atmel 24C02 device. However, in order to program this type of device on the S4, you would require an additional module (S4 - Serial Module) which is no longer available to purchase.
We do provide the pinout tables for this and other modules on our website here.
If you are looking for a better solution then I would recommend the Dataman-40Pro which is the closest equivilant to the S4, it supports all of the devices the S4 does plus a lot more. Full details can be found on our website here.
